The SCRAMx base station acts as the middleman of the SCRAMx system and is the communications conduit that passes data between the SCRAMx bracelet and SCRAMNET. When the offender is first installed on the SCRAMx bracelet, he or she also receives the SCRAMx base station that is typically placed in the home or place of work.
