Each year, NECCD hosts an annual training institute sponsored by one of the New England States on a rotational basis. The institute is located in one of New England’s tourist destinations so much enjoyed by Americans and international visitors alike. Recently concluded institutes were held at the in Killington, Vermont in the beautiful Green Mountains; in Harford, Connecticut at the brand new Hartford Marriott; and at the Red Jacket Inn in North Conway, New Hampshire. You and family members will certainly enjoy the trip, all within a day’s travel and usually less in one of the more scenic regions of the country. Airports are also within close proximity to the institute for extended travelers.
The annual institute draws many Corrections professionals throughout the United States, both presenters and participants. The program blends regional and national interests in its keynotes speakers, exhibit area, and workshops.
Regarded by many as the “must attend” training event of the year, NECCD’s annual training institute receives generous support from governmental agencies and private sector friends of the organization. The result is a lively paced conference from Sunday evening until the conclusion Wednesday morning at the annual membership meeting. In between, there is plenty of fun, friends, and learning.
